Spiced Pears

Directions

  1. Tie the spices in a muslin bag and put all ingredients into water, covering the pears.
  2. Boil until the liquid is reduced and beginning to thicken.
  3. Remove the muslin bag (of course) chill and serve with custard and clotted cream.
