Spiced Pears
Ingredients
- 2 Bosc pears (the brown ones)
- cinnamon stick
- 12 cloves
- 4 stars of star anise
- 1 cup of brown sugar
Procedures
- Tie the spices in a muslin bag and put all ingredients into water, covering the pears.
- Boil until the liquid is reduced and beginning to thicken.
- Remove the muslin bag (of course) chill and serve with custard and clotted cream.
