Rolled Oats Banana Bread

Description

Inherited from the Davidson Estate in Terrell, Texas in 1987. This recipe indicates it came from the back of a rolled oats container and is dated 1924.

Ingredients

Procedures

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. cream sugars and shortening.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas.
  4. Stir in remaining dry ingredients, coconut, and walnuts.
  5. Pour into well-greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
