Mom Marcon's Barbecue Sauce

- Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp peanut oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 stalk celery, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce and ½ can water
- ¼ cup catsup
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp molasses
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp parsley, chopped
- ½ Tbsp dry mustard
- 1 Tbsp horseradish
- dash soy sauce
- dash Worcestershire sauce
- dash Tabasco or hot pepper sauce
- salt, pepper to taste
- pinch ground red pepper
Procedures
- Sauté the first four (4) ingredients until limp
- Then add the tomato sauce and ½ a can water
- Simmer all for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until thick
