Chung Estate Spicy Rice
Description
This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Chung Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1987. From "Catsrecipes Y-Group"[1]
Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice
- 1½ cups water
- 1 rib celery chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic chopped
- ¼ cup cooked bacon pieces
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon parsley
- 1 white onion chopped
- ½ cup Worcestershire sauce
Procedures
- In a medium pot bring all ingredients to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer.
- Cover and simmer 15 minutes then turn heat off but leave covered for five minutes.
- Serve immediately.
