Amish coffee cake
Ingredients
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 2 cups flour
- ¾ cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup hot coffee
- 1 tsp soda
Procedures
- Mix sugar, flour and shortening.
- Take out 1 cup for topping.
- Dissolve soda in hot coffee, add to the flour mixture add egg and vanilla.
- Spread on sheet pan and sprinkle on topping.
- Bake at 325 – 350°F for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar after baked.
