  • bunch collard greens
    washed and cut in small pieces

  • Ib. Bacon
    cut in 1- to 2-inches pieces
    1/2 unit
  • Onion
    sliced
    1 large
  • Tbs. salt
    1 unit
  • Tbs. crushed red pepper
    1 unit
  • black pepper and
    1 tsp
  • water.
    1 quart
  • Simmer gently for 30 minutes.
