  • shiitake mushrooms
    thinly sliced

  • daikon radishes
    sliced as directed (about a four inch long chunk)

  • wakame seaweed
    soaked five minutes in cold water to cover,then chopped into one inch long pieces (discard soaking water)

  • fish stock or chicken stock or vegetable stock
