- The usual chunks ginger1 unitchillie, garlic from your freezer (thawed of course)
- medium-sized potatoes peeled and chopped into pieces the size of2 unitsay, board-game dice
- onions chopped the same way2 medium
- (heaped) teaspoons ground coriander2 unit

- (heaped) teaspoons garam masala2 unit
- half teaspoon of haldi (turmeric)1 unit
