Ingredients

Procedures

  1. Mix cold water, molasses and well beaten egg.
  2. Add flour, salt, ginger and cinnamon.
  3. Mix well and add the baking soda, dissolved in the hot water.
  4. Then add the melted butter.
  5. Beat thoroughly.
  6. Pour into a buttered pan and bake 30 to 40 minutes in a moderate oven.
