Christmas Pudding I

Ingredients

• 1 cup grated carrot
• 1 cup grated potato
• 1¼ cups soft breadcrumbs
• 1 cup raisins
• 1 cup currants
• 1 cup brown sugar
• ½ cup margarine
• 2 tbsp sour milk
• ½ tsp baking soda
• ½ cup flour
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• ⅛ tsp nutmeg
• ½ tsp allspice

For serving

• ½ cup rum or bourbon heated slightly before serving
• 2 cup zabaione sauce
• holly sprigs to garnish (optional)

Procedures

1. Mix in order given.
2. Turn into well greased heat proof bowl; cover and steam about 3 hours.
3. Takes a medium sized bowl.
4. Serve with brown sugar sauce, or custard, or whatever you like.
