Oatmeal Macaroons

Description

The recipe makes about eighteen small cakes.

Ingredients

• 1 egg, beaten light
• ¼ teaspoonful of salt
• ½ cup of sugar
• ½ teaspoonful of vanilla
• ½ tablespoonful melted butter
• 1¼ cups of rolled oats

Procedures

1. First beat the sugar into the egg; add the other ingredients and beat all together thoroughly.
2. Drop from a teaspoon onto a buttered baking sheet and shape in symmetrical rounds.
3. Bake in a moderate oven.
