- 1 c sugar
- 1/4 c Solid vegetable shortening
- 2 lg eggs
- 1/2 c buttermilk
- 3 1/2 c all-purpose flour
- 2 ts baking powder
- 1 ts baking soda
- 1/2 ts cinnamon
- 1/2 ts salt
- 1/4 ts nutmeg
