  1. Combine beer, onions, carrots, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper in a saucepot, over a moderate flame.
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Add wurst or sausages, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Remove sausages to buns.
  5. Remove onions and carrots with a slotted spoon to top sausages.
  6. Serve hot.
