Description
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 8 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- water as needed
- oil for frying
Directions
- In a large bowl sift the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter and add the Sugar. Mix with a fork until well combined.
- Add enough water to make a dough and knead gently. Cut the dough into 4-6 pieces and roll each piece into a ball. Let stand for a few minutes.
- Flatten the balls of dough to about inch thick. In a large skillet over medium heat, add enough oil to coat the pan. Cook the dough until brown.
