For the past week I've had a powerful desire for these little medallions of happiness. Here's what you'll need for the most awesome plate of pan seared scallops. File:Pansearedscallops1.jpg
Ingredients
- 1 Plate full of scallops(Use sea scallops because bay scallops suck ass)
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- Fresh Ground Pepper
- Minced Garlic
- Salt
- Thyme
Method
Pour the oil in a medium mixing bowl, dump in some garlic, ground pepper, a few pinches of salt, and a few pinches of thyme.
Mix that shit up with a fork
Dump the plate of scallops into the goo. My precious goooo!
Fold them gently into the goo and let set for about 20 minutes
Throw the whole mixture onto a medium hot pan with a light coating of oil on it.
Flip em over after about a minute or two. They should be slightly toasted on the bottom.
Let em cook for a about a minute more and then spoon them onto a plate and enjoy.
Here you have a load of options. You can either just eat em plain, with pasta, vegies, or whatever. I pan fried some noodles and cashews in the left over herbs and oil and dumped the scallops on top. That's how you make some damn fine scallops.
