Directions

  1. Wash the fish in cold water.
  2. Place in a pan and simmer gently in 4 cups of water until the water is nearly evaporated.
  3. Drop the tomatoes into boiling water, take them out and peel.
  4. Chop the tomatoes.
  5. In a frying pan heat the oil.
  6. Stir in the onions and tomatoes and cook gently until soft.
  7. Add the cooked fish and salt.
  8. Stir gently taking care not to crush the fish.
  9. Add the milk and simmer for about 30 minutes.
  10. The milk forms the gravy.
  11. Serve with ugali or rice.
