Description
Banana cake [1][2] is a light dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 3 ripe bananas or 1 1/2 cups sliced
- 3 eggs
- 2/3 cups soft butter
- 2/3 cups sour milk or buttermilk
- 1 2/3 cups sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
Combine first four listed ingredients. Put walnuts in a blender and crush, then add to the flour mixture. Take the remaining ingredients and blend for ~25 seconds for a smooth consistency. Pour this over the flour mixture and mix together. This batter can make two round 9" pans, butter them and pour mixture in. Place in oven at 350 degrees F for ~32 minutes, then let cool on cake rack.
