Description

Ingredients

Directions

  1. The sauce may be prepared with fried or unfried flour.
  2. Boil the anise in a cup of broth and then strain.

Fried flour version

  1. If you are using fried flour, fry it lightly in butter, add hot milk, pouring a little at a time and constantly stirring.
  2. Add anise/broth mixture and salt to taste and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Serve warm.

Unfried flour version

  1. If you are using unfried flour, dissolve the flour in cold milk, pouring the milk a little at a time.
  2. Simmer, constantly stirring, for 10 minutes.
  3. Add anise/broth mixture and salt to taste and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve warm.
