Description
This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Howell Estate in Canton, Texas in 1981. From "Catsrecipes Y-Group"[1]
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour sifted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ pound butter
- 2¼ cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 tablespoons brandy flavoring
- ¾ pound candied pineapple
- ¾ pound candied whole cherries
- 1 pound seedless raisins
- 15 ounces pecan halves
Procedures
- Sift together dry ingredients.
- Combine butter, sugar, eggs and flavoring in large bowl then add dry ingredients and mix well.
- Add fruit and nuts then bake in lightly greased tube pan at 275°F for 3 hours.
