Ingredients

Wacky Cake Frosting

Procedures

  1. Sift flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt.
  2. In a saucepan, combine butter, water and cocoa.
  3. Bring to a boil and pour over flour mixture.
  4. In another bowl, mix eggs, soda, buttermilk, vinegar and vanilla.
  5. Add to flour mixture, blending well.
  6. Pour into a 10 x 15 inch jellyroll pan.
  7. Bake 350°F for 20 – 30 minutes,depending on the size of the pan.
  8. As soon as you take the cake out of the oven,sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top, if desired.
  9. Then apply the frosting.

Wacky Cake Frosting

  1. Combine butter, cocoa and buttermilk in a saucepan.
  2. Melt over low heat.
  3. Do not boil.
  4. Remove from heat, add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. Pour over cake as soon as it's taken from the oven.
