Description

Procedures

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. cream together shortening and Sugar.
  2. Add combined applesauce, soda and vanilla.
  3. Do not be concerned if mixture separates.
  4. It will blend as ingredients are added.
  5. Add the sifted flour, baking powder and salt.
  6. Mix well and turn into a greased 8-inch square pan.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes.
