Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) rhubarb, sliced
- 2 pears, sliced
- 8 oz (225g) plums, stones removed and halved
- 3 to 4 tbsp water
- 2 to 3 oz (50-75g) caster sugar, or to taste
- ½ Schwartz vanilla pod, split
- 1 Schwartz cinnamon stick, broken in 2
Procedures
- Place all the fruit in a large saucepan with the water, sugar, vanilla pod and cinnamon stick.
- Simmer for 10 - 15 minutes until fruit is tender.
- Cool and remove the vanilla pod and cinnamon stick just before serving.
- Serve with cream, or as the filling for a crumble or pie.
