  3. To fry: dip chunks of food into batter.
  4. Fry in 3 – 4 inches of fat at 375°F until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper toweling.
  6. Sprinkle fruit fritters with confectioner's sugar or top with a sweet sauce.
