Description

This frozen torte is often my choice to make & take to potluck suppers. It's fast, easy & delicious, says Betty Reuter From "Catsrecipes Y-Group"[1]

Ingredients

Procedures

  1. In bowl, combine 1 cup wafer crumbs, sugar and butter.
  2. Press onto bottom and 1" up sides of greased 9" spring-form pan; set aside.
  3. In mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, milk and syrup until smooth.
  4. Dissolve coffee granules in hot water; add to cream cheese.
  5. Fold in whipped cream.
  6. Pour over crust.
  7. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
  8. Cover; freeze 8 hours or overnight.
  9. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving.
  10. Carefully run knife around edge of pan to loosen.
  11. Remove side of pan.
  12. Garnish with coffee beans if desired.

Tip

Sometimes Betty substitutes cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies for chocolate wafer crumbs. If you do this, omit sugar in crust.
